About our cat grooming.

At Chichester Cattery and Pet Salon, we understand that every cat is an individual - some enjoy a pamper, while others prefer a quick and gentle tidy-up. Our Cat Grooming service focuses entirely on comfort, welfare, and working with each cat’s tolerance levels.

We offer practical, welfare-based grooming such as de-matting, de-shedding, hygiene clips, nail trimming, and gentle brush-outs, all carried out with patience and care. We never rush and we never force a cat to do more than they are comfortable with.

Unlike many salons, we do not offer lion cuts, as these can damage the coat and are not in the best interest of the cat. Instead, we prioritise keeping the coat healthy, manageable, and comfortable while maintaining the cat’s natural appearance.

Your cat’s wellbeing comes first. If a cat becomes stressed, aggressive, or unable to tolerate handling, we may only complete the parts of the groom they are happy with, or completely stop the groom depending on what they’re like- their welfare is always our top priority.

Our aim is to make every grooming session as calm and positive as possible, giving your cat the gentle care they deserve.
